 Soul Birth ~

Navigating the Labor Pains of Life

Flow of the weekend workshop

Friday Night 7pm - 9pm

  • We will come together and sit in circle
  • Introduce ourselves - share a little bit about who you are, your personal story (if you wish to share) and why you are interested in this workshop
  • Intentions - You will have an opportunity to express your intention for this weekend.
    • What you would like to experience and learn.
    • What you hope to gain from this workshop.
    • If you could walk away from this weekend workshop taking away one important insight, what would that be for you?
    • How do you hope it will assist you in your life journey?

Intentions for the workshop

  • To offer a new perspective and way to transition/journey through our own darkness, pain, grief, and/or despair
  • To offer a powerful metaphor that has greatly helped me through my own dark night of the soul
  • To learn how to be your own 'midwife' to the process of transformation and/or how to 'midwife' someone else through their journey
  • To experience a sense of comfort, courage, purpose and determination to keep on going - even if you are at the edge of discomfort and are 'done'.

A Note on safety:

Safety is always a touchy and important topic of discussion. I will share that, for me, creating a safe space is integral to the work that I offer. Safety means that you feel and believe (on an instinctive, energetic, and soulful level) that what is shared remains in the container of the circle.

It is not judged nor used to create positions or opinions of who you are. It means that as a group, we understand that we ALL have a story. And each of our stories are going to be different. No one story is more important than another's.

Therefore, it is imperative that you show up with an openness to receive fully all that will be shared. And, that all that is shared remains sacred to the weekend. It is a privilege to be witness to another's life process. There is no right way to experience our life journey, there is just the journey.

Safety does not mean that we try to prevent discomfort or pain. Actually, it is the opposite. It means that a space feels open enough, warm enough, and loving enough that 'it' can handle the discomfort and pain that might need to be presented.

Often, people use the 'safety card' as a way to pull power from the group. There is no room for this during this workshop. If you are choosing to attend, you are choosing to be open to discomfort (if it arises). When we are sitting on the edge of transformation, it feels unsafe and uncomfortable. This is normal.

 Saturday

10am - 4pm

10:00am-11:30am

Begin the morning with a check in. Where are we all this am? How was last night? Any spontaneous sharing can be expressed or dreams that need to be shared.

The morning we will dive into the metaphor of birth. How does this apply? What is it about the instinctive and physiological birth paradigm that applies to my own process of transformation?

We will explore the 'Dance of Labor'. This is a beautiful guided visualization and powerful life metaphor. We will learn how to identify where we might be in our own journey. Where are we stuck? How are we progressing. What do I need to do? How can I recognize where I am in my own labor? These are some questions that we will discuss after the exploration of this topic.

I will explain each phase, each spiral dance, and how we enter and engage these phases of birth during our own transformation.

We will bring to life this teaching as we apply it to our own personal struggles. I will share from my own experiences how I applied it and how it helped me drop deeper into my experience of life's labor pains.

11:30 – 11:45 Break

11:30am – 1:00pm

-          Open for questions and discussion about morning session

-          Journal exercise – guided visualization

o   Where are you on your path of descent and birth?

o   Where are you stuck?

o   What do you need?

-          Spend some time writing in your journal or drawing about this guided visualization

-          Circle – Each of you will be given an opportunity to speak to this experience, if you so choose to do so.

1:00pm – 1:30pm Lunch Break

1:30pm – 3:30pm

The afternoon is all about the spiritual midwifery teachings and    how they apply to Soul Birthing

Together we will explore 9 Quantum Midwifery Principles

I will share personal accounts of how I choose to apply these spiritual insights to my life and how it assisted me in my process

There will be room for discussion during the exploration of these principles

*At any time, if a member of the group finds themselves in ‘active labor’ there will be space created for us to hold a container so that you can journey into yourself and flow with your labor. It is important to note, the intention of this workshop is to provide you with insight and guiding tools so that you can use them to assist in your process. Having said this, I understand that birth can happen at any time and once initiated, must be allowed to flow freely. If a spontaneous labor commences, there will be space created to drop into this realm.

1.       Quantum Midwifery – What is this? How does it apply?

2.   Undisturbed birthing paradigm principles – What is this? How does it apply? How are we disturbing our own ‘birthing’ processes? How are we disturbing another’s? Why is it imperative to get out of the way and let birth happen?

3.   Altered States and Transformation/Birth What are they? A greater understanding of our hormonal blueprint and physiology. Why we birth from altered states of reality and how to create environments that assist in our full hormonal expression. Discussion and teaching about Love hormones, DMT, and endorphins. How they are crucial during our transformation experience. Brain wave patterns and their impact on the journey.

4.  Being witnessed NOT watched & Holding Space – understanding the difference. Experiencing the difference. The impact that watching and thinking about another’s process affects the birthing experience. This is more for care givers; however, we also must learn how to be the witness of our own birth. How can we get out of the way of our own process? How can we get out of the way of another’s process? Learning how to differentiate between the two?

10:30am – 12:30pm *Continuation from Saturday topics

5.  Sitting in the Fire, Rank, Power talk– What is this about? Practices that assist in learning this skill. What does it feel like? Personal stories that will help gain a deeper understanding about the need for this kind of presence during the birthing process.

6.  Trust the process & Follow the Labor – how this simple statement brought me great courage. What it really means? How does it apply to you? Moving from the mental realm into the heart and energetic realm.

7.   Woundology – what does this mean? How do we feed the wound? How can we shift from being in the story to being in the physiological experience? Reorienting our concept of healing. Where we can get stuck. How this profound concept has shifted my perspective globally and personally.

12:30pm-1:00pm LUNCH

1:00pm-3:00pm

8.  Deep surrender and listening – dropping into the abyss. Listening from our heart rather than our mind. Total presence. I will share, from personal experience, how to notice where we are at during our labor. How to go deeper. How to recognize resistance.

9.  Transformation, Birth and Grace – You are held in grace the entire time. The miracle and magic of birth. The transformation is cellular. Grace is the medicine. How to recognize that there has been a birth/that you have given birth? It is all so very normal and simple yet, oh so complicated and complex – this is the paradox. And life just goes on!

3:00pm-3:30pm

Guided visualization – after learning some of these new insights, we will apply them to your own personal birthing journey. A guided meditation, during which time, you will see yourself giving birth in an empowered way. You will see yourself finding your power!

3:30pm-4:00pm
