As someone who has stood at the gate of birth, I have learned that the power of transformation lies in being witnessed (seen and heard and understood), having your space energetically 'guarded', grounded, and loved so that you can journey into your hearts chaos and come out feeling alive and liberated!
In allowing yourself to be midwifed through your 'hearts' birth, I know and deeply trust, that you will find your way through your suffering and chaos. In the end, you will know intrinsically that something has shifted, something has been experienced, heard, listened to, addressed, acknowledged, healed, grieved... and you can discover your own internal power and will, to let it all go, creating space and freeing up energy within your entire being.
That 'something' exists in all of us. It may be that piece within that we have been afraid to look at, afraid of it being seen, that conflict that never ends, physical tightness, a feeling that something is just 'off' in your life (you can fill in the blank) since you are the one who really KNOWS what that 'thing' is that is blocking you from truly living fully.
What does it mean to Midwife the birth of the human heart?
Midwifery, to me, is much more than assisting in the birth of a baby, it is a service a calling, that is not afraid to stand in the chaos of transformation! It has been through my studies, apprenticeships, and births, that Midwifery became my spiritual path, so to speak.
I began to see how all forms of 'birthing' requires the strong presence of a midwife who is no longer afraid to navigate the terrain of the unknown. And what other place carries more chaos (aside from birth) than the human heart and soul? A midwife has the internal stamina to be able to 'hold space' for transformation, she has the ability to discern when to enter the process and when to stand back, and she know deeply that everyone has the power to give birth... whether you are giving birth to your baby or giving birth to your Self.
She is not afraid of death, because she understands that death is a part of the process, therefore, a Midwife can go the edges with you, bring you to the death of your old self and not be afraid. If the Midwife is still, than you go on to find your internal courage and fire, to allow yourself to be transformed.
You might be feeling an internal gnawing, a tugging, a deep desire to get 'unstuck'... There may be a feeling that there is something within you that is wanting to emerge and in that, you might be feeling tense, frightened, unsure how to navigate, lost, depressed, overwhelmed etc.
These are all very normal components of transformation! And what I am offering is a space for you to go deeply into that 'place' and be 'midwifed' through the process. Just like birth unfolds differently for every woman, so does the birth of the human heart and soul. No transformation process will look the same, however, there is one Truth that never falters, and that is the Truth that you will find your way and when you do, your entire world will be transformed.
